Jobs

Almost everyday now there arrives in my mailbox a flyer telling me that Sharon Parker or some other candidate wants to ship our jobs to Missouri or China or the Moon. I've been applying for jobs since I arrived back in Norman to no avail. Recently I've begun to believe that Norman jobs are actually being outsourced to the moon.

Today I had an interview with the Sooner Express department of the OU Libraries system. If you are not acquainted with the Sooner Express system, you should be. It is a wonderful service that has saved me valuable time by having the books I request available for pickup at the circulation desk in Bizzell. Imagine a job that requires one to search through thousands of books to find the one (or two or 150) book that someone needs. That's what I would be doing working for Sooner Express. Treasure hunting for books. Working for Sooner Express is pretty much my dream student job.

I think the interview went well. I should hear back by Friday.
